What Are You Looking For?

What is your definite major purpose?

It is essential to set yourself goals in life if you want to achieve something.

However, most people don’t know what their definite major purpose is and it’s not always easy to find. To help you consider what your major purpose is, ask yourself this question: “If time and money were not an issue, what would I do with my life?”

You want to know what it is that lights you and fills you with passion. You’ve got to find the thing that creates butterflies in your belly, the thing that makes you think, “That’s it! That’s what I want to do in my life, this is my purpose!”.

Write it down and visualize it. The law of visualization is very powerful. This is exactly what Jim Carrey did. He wrote himself a cheque for $10,000,000 for “acting services rendered” with a deadline, it had to be achieved by thanksgiving 1995. He kept the cheque in his wallet and just before that date, he learned he was going to make that exact amount of money on “Dumb and Dumber”.

“If you can see it and believe it, it is a lot easier to achieve it”. Oprah Winfrey

It is over time and with the effort and the energy that you put in, that something will happen. You’ve got to change your beliefs and think positively. How many people have I met playing Lotto regularly who always say, “I won’t win anyway so…”. SO? Why are you playing then? If you don’t believe you can win, of course you won’t!

But visualization is even more than that. It is biological.

There is a part of your brain called the Reticular Activating System (RAS) that has an information filtration function. Imagine the huge amount of information your 5 senses bombard your brain with 24/7. Your RAS helps delete what is not relevant and lightens the information load on your brain.

An example of something that happened to me not long ago. My housemate got a new car, a big Hilux. I’d never seen a car like this before. Then, suddenly my RAS activated and I could see this car everywhere! The thing is, those cars have always been there but it wasn’t something important to me so my RAS filtered and deleted this information.

“You cannot entirely control your subconscious mind but you can voluntarily hand over to it any plan, desire, or purpose which you wish transformed into concrete form”. Napoleon Hills

Think about what you see in your life and check if it is in line with your purpose. If not, change your mindset and your beliefs. You are the only person responsible for the life you are living. So don’t waste time, gather good positive energies and visualize your success.
